Wonder
Projects
Name of collection : Whispers Of Nature
A collection of greeting cards featuring my illustrations of beautiful scenery, animals, and flowers.
My aim is to put a smile on your face by capturing the moments of wonder hidden in our everyday lives. These cards are designed to bring warmth, hope, and gratitude to everyone who receives them.

My topic is : Wonder , illustrate moments of wonder in the mundane . Not only record beautiful moments but also convey the message that every place in nature is special. I hope that when people encounter moments of unhappiness, they can turn to nature or lovely sceneries for comfort.

I did some mind maps and notes about the categories of greeting cards to help me brainstorming and write down what type of card I would like to make.

During the first few week of this project, I immersed myself in capturing the moments of wonder hidden within my everyday surroundings. I took numerous photos, recording instances of charm and beauty that I encountered in my daily life such as some street and the mirror reflection on the water on the floor in Nottingham. I also found photos in my photo album which are types of sky , like sunset or sunrise, nature and plants or cute animals in the park.

I went to John Lewis and card factory to have a look on different kinds of greeting cards that attract me. Such as some cute animals, gold foil design on card, nice photo with illustration.
I also research more different kinds of cards in The Art File website, and I found that there are illustrated with beautiful scenarios or golden galaxies designed with words , and most of the landscape illustrations are in square size .

I start to do some experimenting with watercolour with referencing the photos of the sky and cute wonder moments I found. During the experiment, I also add some salt with the watercolour and I think the effect that turn out were good for the cloud of sky and can giving more texture with the illustrations.

About the Colour palette :
Based on my mood board and research into photos of daily life, I chose soft pastel colors for my color palette. These light and warm can convey a sense of relaxation and optimism, bringing a smile to those who receive the greeting cards.

These are the refined illustrations from the painting I have done on the page I have shown just now.

And these are the final design of the 5 Art cards .
I believe my card will be a thank-you or birthday card. I designed it without any text, allowing people to personalize it for their specific needs and occasions.
